Stegosaurus armor plate
Stegosaurus spinal shield bone plate.
Original fossil from Cleveland-Lloyd Quarry, Utah / USA.
Stegosaurus was about seven meters long and a little over three meters high; the remains of Stegosaurus armatus suggest a total length of nine meters. On the neck, back and tail there were two rows of flat, kite-shaped plates of different sizes, the number of which varied between 17 and 22. In conjunction with the long tail spines that stood in two pairs near the end of the tail, these make Stegosaurus an easily identifiable dinosaur.
Size of the replica around 33 cm x 19 cm x 5 cm.
